Eden, apparently, is much more of a seize-the-day kind of girl. Or seize-the-spoon, I suppose? Last week, shortly after breakfast when I was trying to quickly check my e-mail before cleaning everything up, she climbed onto a box by the table (a box full of not-yet-mailed-Christmas-presents as it were), grabbed the spoon resting in the almost full container of applesauce, and just went to town. I was so impressed and surprised that I never thought to stop her. When what she was doing really hit me, I quickly opened the Photobooth program on my macbook, turned the screen to face her, and just started clicking away. The highlight reel is below. She stood on that box and worked at that applesauce until she had eaten almost the entire tub. And she hardly made any mess at all! I'm so proud of my little girl. She's constantly surprising me.

We had a follow-up appointment with our pediatrician last Thursday. He could still hear her heart murmur (although it was not as loud) so he suggested we take her to a pediatric cardiologist for an ultrasound of her heart. He says he is still not worried although I know from friends whose kids are also patients of his that this is not necessarily standard practice. So, I remain relatively unconcerned about the whole situation but also glad that she will be getting a thorough check-over by an expert.
There are so many other little stories and new things that she is doing that I would love to post about now, but I must get ready for work. Hopefully I will be able to share them all here sometime soon!

Its OK, you can tell the real reason you didn't get the camera...your blabber-mouth of a SIL was yakking away on the phone.
But anyways...GO EDEN! Next you'll be cutting your own meat and spreading butter on your toast.
How grownup she looks!! She is just beautiful and the such a wonder at all she attempts. Gramma's PROUD!
Left handed too. I hadn't noticed that before. Does she switch back and forth like her uncle used to do? Gramma
